Copy and Paste in Excel - Part 3 (Paste Special)

Hi. This is the part 3 about Copy and Paste in Excel. We have already learnt about all the below options of pasting.

In today post, I'm going to write about "Paste Special" Option. You could find this as below image. 
Just copy some thing. Go to Home  and click on the paste icon and there you could see the "Paste Special" option.

or just write click and find.

or you can be shown the relevant paste option with below shortcut.

Ctrl+Alt+V

In this option we could able to do lots of things more than the previous pasting options. First of all let me show you the Paste Special window which we can be seen after find from above methods.

This is the Paste Special option window. In here you can see there are lots of options are available here to use.

Today i'm going to write about some of those with examples. In this window you will see tow category named "Paste" and "Operation".In Paste category there are some options to select that what we want to paste. And in Operation category there are some options to select that what we want to do with the pasting data. 

All right lets see an example relevant to this. See the below image.

Here I have added some data to column "A" and to column "b". Assume that you need  to add(+) the data of column "A" to the data of column "b" (means 1+1, 2+1, 3+1 etc..) Then you do not need to add data in manually by calculating the data. You can be used the Paste Special option to do this.

• You just need to copy the data in column "A" and go to the 1st row of column "b" and click on that. Now you are on 1st row of column "b". 
• Then you need to go to the Paste Special window by any of the way which we learnt above.
• Select the option "Value" in Paste category and select the option "Add" in Operation category.
• After that click on "OK" button and you will receive the result as below.

In here you can see in column "b" the there are the calculated data which we wanted. I think this will clear to you. 

In the same way, we can be used the other options in Operation category.

I have got the results for all the Operations as to the data of below tables.
