Copy and paste in Excel - Part 01

Hi every one,
This post is about  Copy & Paste options in Ms-Excel. There are lots of options to paste the copied details in Excel. In this post I'm going to write some of those options. I'm going to use below details to show you about Copy & Paste options.

In this table there is a formula relevant to column E. It shows price into quantity (price*quantity).
Ok. let's see the first option to copy & paste. First of all we need to copy some selected data to paste.
You just select the details of  the Value column. You can copy by key board short cut as Ctrl + C or write click on the selected area and just click on the copy option.

After that we need to go to the destination place where you want to paste. Then write click and select the 1st option [Paste (P)]of the paste option section.

Here you will be received a copy of copied details with cell format and formulas. After we pasted the copied date we will be received the below result.
Here you could see the values of pasted date are "0". The reason is, in this paste option the formulas also have pasted. And the formula is changed as to the destination cells. This option can be used to copy and paste the data without formulas. Then we can paste the same details to where you need.

The 2nd option of the paste option is named as Values (V). When we use this option to paste copied data we are received the result as below.

You could see the pasted data is equal to the copied data. But the formats of the cells and the formulas didn't copy. It means the pasted data is only the values.

The 3rd option is named as Formulas (F). In this option we could paste the data with formula. The format of cells will not paste.

The 4th option is more different with the other options. it's called Transpose (T). This paste option will change the positions of copied date. It's like column to row - row to column. Is it little complicated no ? let's see the an example.
First of all we need to copy the whole details of the chart which I have been using for above examples. And then, we need to paste the copied data with paste option four. Means Transpose (T) option. Then you will be shown the result as below.

In here you can see the column have changed as rows and the rows have changed as column. But the formulas and the formats of cells haven't changed. This is very useful option to use and I like it.
There are some more options about copy & paste option in Excel and we will discuss those in next post. Till then please try these options and practice well.
Please  don't forget to add you opinion about this post in comment section. Thank you.
